Betty Stradeski

Obituary of Betty Stradeski

Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Jakubowski) Stradeski was born in the Grayson district on January 2, 1931 to Anton and Theresa Jakubowski. Betty was the youngest of ten children.

Betty graduated from grade 12 in Grayson. Her first job was working at E. Joe Gelowitz store. After that Betty worked as a receptionist at St. Peter’s Hospital until her marriage to Gordon Stradeski on November 4, 1952.

Betty and Gordon lived on the farm until 1967. From 1967 to 1973 they moved to Grayson to look after Betty’s mother. The couple moved back to the farm in 1973 and in 1983 they moved back to Grayson where Betty resided until April 2017. Betty then moved to Westview Manor in Melville for a few years then became a resident at St. Paul Lutheran Home. Betty entered her eternal rest with family at her side on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the age of 93 years.

Betty’s faith and family were the focal point of her life. Even though her life was busy with eleven children Betty always had time and love to share with anyone that came to her door. She made everyone that met her feel very special because to her everyone was.

The world is a better place because of Betty was in it. She will be greatly missed by all.

Predeceased by her parents, Anton and Theresa; her husband, Gordon; daughter, Joan and son-in-law, Allan; all her brothers and sisters; most in-laws and relatives too many to mention.
