Life Story for David George Pelzer

David “Dave” Pelzer of Melville, beloved husband of Connie Pelzer entered his eternal rest on July 24, 2017 at the Regina General Hospital at the age of 53 years.
Dave was a son to George and Erna Pelzer. He was born, raised, and graduated in Melville, Sask. After grad he decided to live in Calgary, with his sister Donna but just after 6 months he came back home to help run the family business Mohawk which was the hangout spot for him and his friends. Where they would meet to discuss who had the bigger sled and make plans for the weekend until closure in 1995.
In 1985, he began his career with the Public Works Department where he started as a labourer and worked his way up to Chief Lead Hand. During the 32 years, his co-workers have turned into friends and family. He has been there for all the hiccups and milestones from birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, promotions, and retirements.
Dave’s life changed when he met the love of his life Connie and were married July 1, 1995. Dave and Connie purchased a house and spent many evenings working on their yard and renovating. He also enjoyed going to the farm to visit but especially enjoyed Harvest, as he was the Top-Dog grain hauler.
A few years later their world changed as they were enlightened with two beautiful children, Tia and Harley. Dave was very involved with the kids’ lives as he coached them in soccer, softball, and hockey. He also attended every football game as if it were his own, reliving his youth as he also played for the MCS Cobras’. Dave was a very proud father as Tia and Harley decided to take the Hunters Safety Course. Now was his time to shine and show the kids how to hunt for deer, as he was an avid hunter. But most of all he enjoyed being with family, relatives and friends.
Dave is predeceased by his Father George Pelzer, Father and Mother-in law Gordon and Lena Denesiuk.
Dave leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Connie, Kids Tia and Harley; his mother Erna Pelzer of Melville. Sisters Donna (John) Munro, their son Jonathon of Calgary and Cathy Pelzer of Calgary. Brother-in-laws Wayne (Terri) Denesiuk, their daughter Kelsey of Saskatoon. Gilbert Denesiuk of Goodeve and Joe (Lynnette) Denesiuk, their sons Blaine and Colin of Melville.
Prayer Service were held on Monday, July 31, 2017 from the Horizon Credit Union Centre. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from the Horizon Credit Union Centre with Rev. Jason Johnson officiating. The interment followed in the St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Goodeve.
