A gift to your family, sparing them hard decisions at an emotional time.
It is not always possible to pay respects in person, so we hope that this small token will help.
Offer a gift of comfort and beauty to a family suffering from loss.
Bailey's Funeral Home has been in operation in Yorkton for more than 45 years under the direction and guidance of W. Allan Bailey, who assumed ownership of the funeral home and Yorkton Memorial Gardens in 1963.
Previously operated by a national company, both the funeral home and the cemetery east of Yorkton have been a family operation since then, providing personal care and service for residents of east-central Saskatchewan. Although the funeral home and cemetery are under common ownership, Bailey's serves all cemeteries in the area; the choice of location is strictly the family's.
In 1964, Allan Bailey opened a funeral chapel in Ituna, and in 1983 he expanded to Melville, which in a very real sense was a homecoming for him.
Allan Bailey had moved to Melville at an early age, where his grandfather, W.T. (Bill) Bailey was the community's funeral director, and where Allan first learned the family business. His father Ray Bailey was also a licensed embalmer.
Fifty years after first working in the funeral service business, Allan continues to be actively involved.
